Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for my pieces?

Ternos require extra care to maintain their appearance and structure. I highly recommend that you store your item folded, keeping the sleeves fat. Hanging your terno long term will result in a distorted shape over time. Wash your item by filling a tub with a few inches of cold water and adding about 3 tbsp of detergent. Pretreat any stains, and soak your piece for 10 minutes and then gently agitate the garment in the water with your hands. Drain the tub and rinse the garment with fresh water while remaining flat. Gently ring the garment body (excluding the sleeves) and place your garment in between towels, keeping the sleeves flat. Gently press or step on the towels to squeeze out any excess liquid. Hang your garment, by folding at the waist, making sure the sleevs remain flat as possible do not hang with sleeves clipped, as this will cause distortion to the sleeves. Once dry, iron the sleeves & body using medium high heat and steam if needed.

Where do you make your pieces? Are you located in the Philippines?

Every piece is handmade by designer and founder, Eleonore, at her home in San Diego, CA.

Made to order: Girls pieces take 4 weeks for production to complete. Womens tops and dresses can take up to 4 weeks to hand make. Bridal tops, dresses (non-gowns), skirts take 4-6 weeks, while bridal gowns can take up to 3 months, so plan accordingly while purchasing!

Can I return my pieces even if it’s made to order?

Yes! Pieces that have not been customized through patternmaking and follow my regular sizing chart (XS, S, M, L…) are fully returnable! Please contact us at info@shoplaunion.com to initiate your return.

Pieces not eligible for return are those that have been made with custom patternmaking to fit your own personal measurements. Due to the difficulty of reselling custom pieces, these are not able to be accepted as a return.
